Manel Avellà
Head of Origination | Europe Power & Renewables Gunvor Group
Manel Avellà is the Head of European Power & Renewables Origination at Gunvor, where he is in charge of growing their power and renewables business, including trading positions and assets. His team works closely with developers and investors in the European PPA and storage & flexibility markets, provide risk management solutions and has mandate to invest in the Energy Transition space.
Manel has over 20 years’ experience in the energy sector and previously worked with bp, EDF Trading and Naturgy, in various roles ranging from origination and trading to portfolio management and research.
He holds Engineering Degrees from Universitat Politècnica de València and CentraleSupélec, as well as an MPA from Columbia University.
