Alexandre Franceschini

Alex joined UK Green Investment Bank, predecessor for the Green Investment Group in September 2014 and is leading the Corio’s Strategic Transactions team, having transitioned from the Green Investment Group at formation in April, 2022.

Alex has over 12 years’ experience in Corporate Finance, with a focus on renewables over the last 10 years. Before joining GIB, Alex was with Société Générale in Paris, where he focused on M&A advisory for major French corporates and financial investors.

Alex has a global financing/investment/divestment experience with over 20 transactions completed (aggregate value of c. £25bn, including c. £20bn in renewables).

Since joining Corio, Alex has led the Strategic Transactions function, focused on identifying and executing complex transactions in the offshore wind space. Key achievements include setting up the global partnership between Corio and Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan (“OTPP”) and more recently leading the entry of Corio in the US market through its acquisition of a stake in the Attentive Energy projects. Alex also acts as director on the board of some of the Corio assets.
