Paul Spencer
Paul has worked in the renewable energy and environmental sector for over 20 years. He currently works for Oxford City Council, supporting delivery of the council’s Net Zero Carbon by 2030 plan. This includes implementing and developing low carbon and renewable energy projects across the council estate and operations, managing the council’s energy and water supply contracts and energy procurement strategy. He is also currently a voluntary independent director of a local community energy group with run of river hydro and solar assets. Paul previously launched and for six years ran a successful international renewable energy magazine, during which time he became convinced of the massive contribution that renewables can make to the global energy mix. He holds a Science PhD and professional qualifications in energy assessment and energy management.
